Summer news!

Summer time always makes me think of my younger self. Somehow I'm always drawn back to past school summer holidays, those seemingly endless 6 weeks that vanish in the blink of an eye now I'm a parent. For us, there were no summer schools or scheduled activities - my Mum cycled off to work and left us to it.

This summer, as usual, I'll be taking a bit of time off. My daughter is almost 11 and I'm all too aware that it won't be long until she has no desire whatsoever to spend any time with her uncool and embarrassing Mum, so until that happens I'll be making the most of the holidays and putting work to one side for a while.

But don't panic - not completely! Firstly, I have an exhibition at The Gallery at Nice Things, with my very talented friend Nikki Griffith. We're there from 24th July to 13th August, full details can be found in the events section.

Also! I'm exhibiting at the Hythe Art Society's annual exhibition at the Tin Tabernacle in Hythe from 19-26th August.

And! I'll be selling prints and cards at the Sandgate Sea Festival on Sunday 25th August - I won't be there in person but my lovely East Cliff Creatives friends will be selling my work for me.

After the holidays, I'm straight back into it with the hART in Rye exhibition at the Red Door Alchemist Gallery. The show coincides with the Rye Arts Festival and runs from 11th September to 7th October. More details in events!
